Ameer’s Kannabiran, which will have Jayam Ravi in the lead, is due to begin in March. Jayam Ravi is currently busy with Thillalangadi, a film that is directed by his brother Jayam Raja. There were expectations that the actor could move on to a film that is to be directed by Prabhu Deva soon after completing Thillalangadi.
Unfortunately, this project has been put in the back burner for the time being. Kannabiran is produced by J.Anbazhagan, the DMK district secretary of T Nagar. More details about the rest of the cast and crew will be decided soon, sources say.
