Kaviyam speaks about a social problem

Kaviyam is a film produced by A Velu and G Kamalanathan under the banner Friends Club. New faces Dhilip and Janavi are in the lead roles. Pe Na Ramesh who is directing this film said,” The title Kaviyam might suggest that it is a romantic film but I have dealt with social subject in this film.

A problem occurs in a village. The hero finds a solution for this problem. But the people who believe the villain refuses to give heed to the hero’s word. How the hero makes the people believe him and how he saves the village is the story of the film.

Both Dhilip and Janavi belong to Bangalore. They have acted without any ego. Though this is Dhilip’s first film, he has made my work easy because he had acted in Asha Bhonsle album and Ad films.

As far as Janavi is concerned she has acted in lot of stage plays. She is also a coach in the Swingers dance school. Because of this acting and dance comes very easy to her. The songs composed by music composer Tashi have come out well. Choreographer Kandhas has choreographed each song with a different style. This film has the backdrop of a village and will reflect the culture of the village
