100 historical paintings in Magillchi

There are 100 paintings in the film Magillchi illustrating the history. T Manivannan is producing a film titled Magillchi under the banner Adhirvu Thirai Pattarai. Gowthaman is directing and acting in this film.

Seeman, Anjali, Karthika and Prakash Raj are also starring in this film. The shooting of the film is over. Gowthaman while speaking about this film said,” This film is based on the novel Thalaimuraigal written by Neela Padmanabhan.

I have worked hard for 12 years to finalize the screenplay. The story of the film has three generations. This film is a commercial one which has the ingredients of action and songs to suit the present trend.

I have also included the historical place Kaveri Poom Pattinam which was swallowed by sea some 1500 years ago. I have shot these scenes using 100 paintings painted by painter Marudhu. This is first of its kind in Tamil cinema. I am planning to release these paintings in a book format.”
